Re-imagining our OFFIE nominated show 'Hand Of God', we're excited to announce our upcoming production, Everybody Wants To Be Ronaldo.
Everybody Wants To Be Ronaldo is a vibrant and dynamic show blending the pulsating beats of Grime and hip-hop. This three-hander explores themes of identity and parenting, set against the backdrop of Birmingham. The story follows Curtis, a 16-year-old aspiring professional footballer in the Villa academy, his devoted mother Sabrina, who has supported him since he was six, and his unforgettable one-night encounter with the legendary Diego Maradona.
Cocktailed with pulsating and lyrical flair from Birmingham tour-de-force Reisz Amos, Everybody Wants To Be Ronaldo will be hitting theatres in March 2025.
Proudly supported by Arts Council England, Backstage Trust & The Sir Barry Jackson Trust
With special thanks to, Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE, Stan’s Cafe, West Bromwich Albion FC, Alistair Wilkinson.
